This privacy statement explains how the Centre for Strategic Philanthropy (CSP) collects, stores, uses and shares personal information it collects. At the CSP we recognise the value of people’s personal data and information. We collect, store, use and share personal information to carry out our functions and activities. All data and information that we collect is treated with respect. We are committed to protecting this information and ensuring it is managed appropriately.

We collect personal information from you when you become a partner of the CSP, register to attend one of our events, submit an enquiry through our website, work with us on collaborative projects, or otherwise provide us with your personal information. The information we collect may include

• your contact information, such as your email address, physical address and/or phone number

• organisation name

• information about your interactions with us

• your giving history, areas of giving interest and charitable involvement

We also collect anonymised and aggregated information about how people use and engage with our website. Individuals cannot be identified from this information.

We collect your personal information in order to

• provide a tailored service to CSP partners, invite you to events and engage with you in areas of interest

• deliver any services or support, we have agreed to provide

• where you have subscribed, send you our newsletter

Besides our staff, we may share information with:

• other persons or entities we are working with collaboratively

• our service providers, such as Constant Contacts, Squarespace and Microsoft 365

We protect all information (including your personal information) on a secure Microsoft Azure cloud platform and we comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and any other relevant legislation.

We reserve the right to change this privacy statement at any time, by posting an updated version of the privacy statement on our website.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct any errors in the information that we hold, or delete your personal information.
